DHANBAD : “नहाय-खाय” के साथ ही सूर्योपासना का महापर्व छठ का चार दिवसीय अनुष्ठान आरंभ हो गया। पर्व के पहले दिन छठ व्रती जलाशयो में स्नान पश्चात पवित्र मन से कद्दू-भात रुपी प्रसाद ग्रहण को ग्रहण किये। धार्मिक इस अवसर पर क्षेत्र के नदी-तालाब जैसे जलाशय आदि को जाने बाले ब्रतियों के लिये साफ़-सफाई कर घाटों का निर्माण कराया गया। इस दौरान समाजिक बुद्धिजिवियों द्वारा कई जगहो पर लाईट, गेट, टेंट आदि की भी व्यवस्था की। इस छठ पर्व पर पूर्व झरिया विधायक स्वर्गीय सूर्यदेव सिंह की पुत्री एवं श्री श्री सूर्यदेव सिंह स्मृति गुरुकुलम स्कूल की निर्देशिका किरण सिंह के आवास में नहाए खाय के साथ छठ पर्व का आरंभ हुआ। इस अवसर पर किरण सिंह को बहुत ही श्रद्धा के साथ आवास परिसर में गेंहु सुखाते हुए व्यस्त देखा गया।
