DHANBAD | शहीद निर्मल महतो मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल (एसएनएमएमसीएच) में एमबीबीएस की सीटों की संख्या 50 से बढ़ाकर 100 कर दी गई है. अब 100 सीटों पर नामांकन लिया जाएगा. नामांकन लेने वाले छात्रों को किसी गांव के एक परिवार को गोद लेना पड़ेगा. छात्रों द्वारा गोद लिए गए परिवार के सभी सदस्यों की देखभाल तथा उन्हें बीमारी से बचाने की जिम्मेदारी भी छात्रों को ही निभानी होगी. नेशनल मेडिकल काउंसिल ने फेमिली एडक्शन प्रोग्राम के तहत नए सत्र 2023-27 में नामांकन लेने वाले छात्रों के लिए यह नियम अनिवार्य कर दिया है. एसएनएमएमसीएच के प्राचार्य डॉ ज्योति रंजन ने बताया कि इस बार एमबीबीएस की सीटों की संख्या 100 कर दी गई है. सीटों की संख्या बढ़ाने के लिए मेडिकल कॉलेज प्रबंधन पिछले कई वर्षों से प्रयासरत था. उन्होंने बताया कि अब 100 सीटों पर नामांकन लेने वाले छात्रों को गांव के एक परिवार को गोद लेना अनिवार्य है. छात्र गांव में जाकर विजिट करेंगे और गोद लिए गए परिवार की स्वास्थ्य संबंधी समस्या दूर करने की जिम्मेदारी भी निभाएंगे. उन्होंने कहा कि उस परिवार की देखभाल करना छात्रों की ड्यूटी होगी.
