धनबाद जिला प्रशासन की ओर से व्यवसायियों को सुरक्षा, सुरक्षित माहौल प्रदान करने व अपराधियों के विरुद्ध कड़ी कार्रवाई करने के आश्वासन के बाद व्यवसायियों ने अनिश्चितकालीन धनबाद बंद की घोषणा को वापस ले लिया। बैठक में उपायुक्त ने कहा कि व्यवसायियों को जिला प्रशासन एवं पुलिस पर भरोसा रखना चाहिए। पुलिस विभिन्न कांड का उद्बोधन कर अपराधियों को सजा दिलाती है। जबकि अपराधी अपना प्रभुत्व बनाए रखने के लिए अपराध करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा जिला प्रशासन द्वारा संसाधनों को बेहतर करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। अपराधियों के विरुद्ध कड़ी से कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। जिले के प्रमुख स्थलों पर विशेष फोर्स की प्रतिनियुक्ति की जाएगी। जिला प्रशासन और पुलिस जिले के सभी नागरिकों का मित्र है और उनकी पीड़ा में उनके साथ है। वहीं वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक ने कहा कि लोगों की सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर पुलिस पेट्रोलिंग बढ़ाने और शहर में मोटरसाइकिल से पेट्रोलिंग शुरू की जाएगी। पुलिस को वायरलेस, वॉकी-टॉकी व अन्य संसाधनों से लैस किया जाएगा। प्रमुख मार्केट व भीड़भाड़ वाले क्षेत्रों में पुलिस द्वारा पैदल गश्त किया जाएगा।एसएसपी ने कहा कि किसी अनजान नंबर से वॉट्सएप के माध्यम से धमकी मिलने पर उस नंबर को ब्लॉक कर वॉट्सएप को रिपोर्ट करें। पुलिस को भी सूचना दें। बैठक में जिला प्रशासन से आश्वासन मिलने के बाद व्यवसायियों ने अनिश्चितकालीन धनबाद बंद की घोषणा को वापस ले लिया। बैठक में उपायुक्त श्री वरुण रंजन, वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक श्री संजीव कुमार, सिटी एसपी श्री अजीत कुमार, एडीएम लॉ एंड ऑर्डर श्री कमलाकांत गुप्ता, श्री चेतन गोयनका, श्री राजीव शर्मा, श्री प्रमोद गोयल, श्री जितेंद्र अग्रवाल, श्री सुरेंद्र अरोड़ा, श्री प्रभात सुरोलिया, श्री अजय नारायण लाल, श्री राजेश गुप्ता, श्री कमलेश त्रिवेदी, श्री प्रेम गंगेसरिया, श्री संदीप मुखर्जी, श्री लोकेश अग्रवाल, ललित जगनानी, ललित अग्रवाल सहित अन्य संगठनों के प्रतिनिधि मौजूद थे।
