MANDSAUR | रावण का ससुराल और मंदोदरी का मायका माने- जाने वाले मंदसौर जिले में इस साल भी दशहरा पर्व रावण पूजा और इसके बाद उसके वध की परंपरा के मुताबिक धूमधाम से मनाया गया. सुबह के वक्त मंदसौर में नामदेव समाज ने अपने जमाई राजा रावण की विशाल प्रतिमा की पूजा अर्चना की. वहीं, शाम के वक्त ग्राम धमनार में रावण की प्रतिमा पर चढ़ाई कर बुराई के प्रति रावण का वध हुआ. मान्यता के मुताबिक, सैकड़ों सालों से मंदसौर जिले को रावण का ससुराल माना जाता है. नामदेव समाज मंदोदरी को अपनी बेटी मानता है. इस लिहाज से इस जिले के तमाम लोग रावण को अपने जमाई राजा मानते हैं. यहां रावण का वध ना कर उसकी पूजा अर्चना करने की परंपरा है. सुबह के वक्त मंदसौर के खानपुरा स्थित रावण की विशाल प्रतिमा का नामदेव समाज के लोगों ने ढोल धमाके के साथ पूजा अर्चना की और उसके दाहिने पैर में पूजा के धागे बांधे.
ऐसी मान्यता है कि रावण सर्व सिद्धि युक्त प्रकांड पंडित और बलशाली राजा था. उसमें तमाम शक्तियां मौजूद थी, और यहां के लोग साल भर संपन्न और निरोगी रहने के लिए उसके दाहिने पैर में धागा बांधकर मिन्नत भी करते हैं. सैकड़ो सालों से चली आ रही, इस परंपरा का निर्वाह आज के लोग भी यहां बखूबी करते हैं. उधर, बुराई के प्रतीक मानें जाने वाले रावण की जिले के ग्राम धमनार में भी एक विशाल प्रतिमा भी है. यहां भी रावण के वध की परंपरा चली आ रही है. यहां राम और रावण की सेना में युद्ध होता है और रामायण के मुताबिक ही दोनों सेनाएं आपस में लड़ाई कर रावण का वध करती है. लड़ाई के पहले यहां लंका दहन का भी आयोजन होता है. इस रोचक और जोखिम भरे खेल में युवा सावधानी से आग से खेलते नजर आते हैं. आज भी शाम 4 बजे से ही धमनार की लंका नगरी में सैकड़ो लोग इस परंपरागत उत्सव को देखने के लिए जमा हुए और राम और रावण की सेना ने जमकर युद्ध किया. इसके बाद राम की सेना ने 51 फीट ऊंची सीमेंटेड रावण की प्रतिमा पर चढ़ाई की. यहां रावण की प्रतिमा के दोनों हाथ पर राम की सेना चढ़ती है,और जो युवा प्रतिमा के कंधे पर चढ़कर रावण की नाक तोड़ देता है. इसे रावण वध माना जाता है. इस तरह रावण वध करने वाले युवक उस साल का राम घोषित होता है. इसके बाद भगवान राम की सवारी पूरे गांव में निकलती है, जिसकी घर-घर पूजा अर्चना होती है.
