मुंबई : उमा देवी खत्री, जिन्हें दुनिया टुनटुन के नाम से जानती थी। हिंदी सिनेमा की पहली फीमेल कॉमेडियन। ये नौशाद साहब थे जिन्होंने उमा देवी को एक्टिंग करने की सलाह दी थी। वरना ये तो गायिका बनना चाहती थी। नौशाद साहब ने जब गायकी को लेकर इनकी दीवानगी देखी तो उन्होंने साल 1947 में आई फिल्म दर्द में इन्हें एक गीत गाने का मौका दिया। गीत के बोल थे,”अफसाना लिख रही हूं दिल-ए-बेकरार का। आंखों में रंग भरके तेरे इंतज़ार का।” जी हां, वही गीत जिसे रीमिक्स करके कितने ही लोगों ने यूट्यूब पर व्यूज़ बटोरे। लेकिन मजाल कि कोई ऑरिजिनल गीत के आस-पास भी आया हो। खैर, चूंकि उमा देवी जी कोई ट्रेंड सिंगर नहीं थी तो नौशाद साहब ने उनसे कहा कि अब सिंगिंग में बहुत कॉम्पिटीशन है। लता मंगेशकर नाम की नई लड़की बहुत काबिल है और ज़बरदस्त गाती है। तुम इस कॉम्पिटिशन में नहीं टिक पाओगी। बेहतर है कि अब तुम एक्टिंग में हाथ आज़माओ। मेंटोर नौशाद की बात मानते हुए उमा देवी ने अभिनय की दुनिया में आने की तैयारियां शुरू कर दी। और पहली दफा इन्होंने एक्टिंग की साल 1950 में आई दिलीप कुमार की फिल्म बाबुल में। ये दिलीप कुमार ही थे जिन्होंने उमा देवी खत्री को उनका फिल्मी नाम टुन टुन दिया था। आज टुन टुन जी की पुण्यतिथि है। 24 नवंबर सन 2003 में 83 साल की उम्र में टुन टुन जी ने इस दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया था। टुन टुन जी को किस्सा टीवी नमन करता है।
